Commonly known as Japanese forest grass, Hakonechloa macra, is a graceful ornamental grass native to the cool mountain slopes of Honshu, Japan. Its cascading foliage forms soft mounds that ripple in the breeze, adding movement and texture to shaded borders, woodland gardens, and container displays. 

The leaves shift from fresh green in spring to warm coppery tones in autumn, offering multi-season interest. Hakonechloa pairs beautifully with bold-leaved companions like hostas, ferns, and heucheras, or with airy perennials such as astrantia and aquilegia. Its gentle form and colour make it a favourite for underplanting shrubs or softening hard edges.

RETURNS

REFUNDS
