Invite nature’s night shift into your garden with the WildYard Single Chamber Bat House in natural Cedar. A beautifully simple roost, it is designed to support the UK’s native bat species.

Crafted from untreated cedar for breathability and durability, this compact box offers a safe, sheltered space for insect-eating bats such as the common pipistrelle, soprano pipistrelle, and brown long-eared bat. These gentle creatures help control mosquitoes and midges, making them a welcome ally in any outdoor space.

Single-chamber boxes like this are ideal for smaller colonies or exploratory roosting in the summer. Bats begin scouting for summer roosts in early spring, with peak activity from May to September. Installing your bat box in early autumn gives them time to locate and explore it before winter sets in, ready for use in the following summer season.

  • Dimensions approx. Height 15 inches (38cm); Width 9 inches (23cm); Depth 4 inches (10cm)
  • Mount at least 4 metres high on a building or pole—avoid trees to reduce predator access
  • Locate in a south or southeast-facing position for warmth and visibility
  • Best installed in early autumn so bats can get used to it before going to their winter roosts, or early spring.

RETURNS

We want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us online. Occasionally however, we know that you may want to return items. Our easy returns policy for online orders applies to all of our products except for made to order items, jewellery, personalised items and gift cards.

Your right to cancel an order starts when you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods. If your order consists of multiple goods, the 14 days runs from when you get the last item of the order.

If you wish to cancel your order you must return the items back to us within 14 days of the cancellation. We regret that items received after this time will be refused and sent back to you.

You are responsible for the safe return of products to us, including the cost of doing so. It is recommended that you insure your return parcel in case of loss or damage.
